The object and the cover go down as a unit.

This minimizes the “escape” the fingers need to make from beneath the cover.

Before the cover hits the palming hand the object is lowered into fingertip rest position.

The object should be at the very tips of the fingers.

The object begins in full concealment as the cover is brought into play.
